Novak, Sonja
Sonja Novak, an independent researcher from Croatia, obtained her PhD from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek in 2013, thesis entitled The Disappearance of Tragedy from 20th Century Theatre. Since 2008 she holds the position of adjunct teaching assistant at the Department for Croatian Studies and the Department for German Studies at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek for theory and history of literature (courses taught: Goethe’s Faustus, Contemporary German Drama, Academic Writing, Biedermayer and Young Germany. She has actively participated at conferences in Croatia and abroad (Romania, UK, Hungary, Spain), has published works in Croatian and foreign journals and her research interests include literature, cultural studies, theatre, drama tragedy.
