Török, Ervin

Ervin Török (1977) teaches at the Department of Visual Culture and Literary Theory at the University of Szeged. His main research areas are narratology, satiric literature, and areas connecting film and literature. He wrote his PhD dissertation on the dramas and essays of Heinrich von Kleist. His work, co-edited with Izabella Füzi and entitled Bevezetés az epikai szövegek és a narratív film elemzésébe [Introduction to the analysis of epic texts and narrative films], was published in 2006. Recently, he has also published another book, A szatíra diskurzusai a modernitásban [The discourses of satire in modernity]. Ervin Török’s articles on narratology and his publications on Kleist’s works of art as well as on satiric writings appeared in various periodicals (Alföld, Literatura, Filológiai Közlöny, etc.) and as book chapters.
